Job number: 10520 Location: Los Altos, California. Schedule: Parents share 50-50 custody of three children, and Nanny will care for children while at Dad's home. Schedule will be Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in one week, and Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the following week (Saturday and Sunday hours could vary or be earlier). Family appreciates a Candidate who can be flexible with their schedule occasionally as needed. Family will guarantee 40 hours each week and may ask Candidate to work additional hours, with advance notice, during the shorter week. Children: 7, 9, and 11-year-olds. Family also has 1 and 4-year-olds who have their own Nanny, so primary focus is the school-age children. Duties: Childcare, driving children, attending classes and activities with children, homework help, children's laundry, meal prep for children, light tidying related to children, traveling with family four to six times per year for one to two weeks at a time. Requirements: This busy family of seven is seeking an engaging, energetic, fun, and organized Nanny who is able to connect with school age children on their level and engage them in their interests, such as sports, outdoor activities, dancing, Legos, 3-D printing. etc. A Candidate who can act as a trusted adult and companion and create a strong relationship with the children will thrive in this role. Candidate must be able to communicate effectively and be an excellent team player, who works well in a multi staffed household and with parents who are around and involved. Candidate must also be comfortable teaming with parents and working with all five children on weekends, although Candidate will rarely care for all five children alone. Candidate must drive. Family can provide a vehicle for use on the job. Salary: $40-$50 per hour Benefits: Guaranteed pay 52 weeks per year, paid vacation time, paid sick time, paid holidays, monthly medical stipend.
