Hi! Our 14-year-old daughter has "high-functioning" autism, and we are looking for a youth partner/mentor to spend time with her after school and possibly on weekends. PAYMENT will be set up through RITZ Financial Management as we have respite hours covered by the Regional Center. It's a bit of a pain to set up, but then payment is electronic. Role might include taking her to activities such as roller skating or music class, doing art at home, playing Roblox together, and so forth. Searching for someone who will enjoy doing activities with her rather than just supervising. Ideal candidates will have experience working with autistic children, but the most important thing is the ability to form a positive relationship with our daughter and feel comfortable in our family home. We are a family of 4 with one small dog in Irvine.
