About the job
Regular care is needed for a 26-year-old girl with profound special needs. She is calm, sweet and easy to be with. She loves art, colorful lights, music, plants, animals, friends and family. She is non ambulatory, nonverbal, wears diapers, and depends on a feeding tube. She requires total support to meet all her basic needs as well as handling of some routine special medical needs. Pay is between $30 and $60 per hour depending on your education, expertise, motivation, quality of care and longevity. Caregivers who bring education and skills to the job start at a higher hourly rate but every caregiver has the opportunity to work up incrementally towards earning $50 per hour and RN's can work up to $60 per hour.
