In-class Aide Supporting 9-year Old

N is a bright, funny third grader who is being evaluated for possible ASD and/or anxiety. He needs compassionate, individualized support to manage emotions and keep up with the pace of the work and activities in class when he begins to experience overwhelm. This might look like helping him get started on writing, reviewing/rephrasing instructions, or offering a 5-10 minute reset break. N sometimes walks away from teachers and may need gentle physical guidance to stay in or move to a safe place while he re-regulates. We are looking to interview ASAP. School day support would begin April 21 with some time spent prior getting to know N and speaking with his teacher. You will be need to fulfill on-campus volunteer requirements determined by the school including providing a driving record and completing a LiveScan background check.
