About the job
We are First Church Berkeley, a Progressive, Vibrant, Christian Community. We are looking for a hired professional to provide safe, secure, nurturing, clean and efficient care to our children ages 0-2. We usually have 1-3 infants on any given Sunday. Hours are from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30/12 p.m. You will work with alongside screened volunteers from the congregation who will assist with child care. Responsibilities include playing with the children or directing their play, reading to them, exhibiting patience and love. Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing, maintaining a safe environment, holding, sitting with, and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, and play.
