Our daughter is 1-year-old and spends nearly all of her time with us. It's great, but exhausting. We mostly want to get her comfortable with someone new who she can spend time with so we can maybe go out for a bit or even get some work done. Our daughter explores. She examines every new little thing, and she likes us to take her around the house to visit her favorite things like photos on the wall. She even points the way. She loves reading books, especially interactive ones like the Peek-A-Boo series. And if you hand her the lid of a container, she'll patiently demonstrate to you that it's supposed to go right back on that container. That's its place She can be very communicative with sounds. Crawls when she wants, but not always. We've seen her hold the edge of a bed and walk around it a bit. She's selective about her actions.
