My daughter was born 26 weeks premature. To help her lungs heal, she had a tracheotomy. We lived in the hospital for a year and a half and have been at home for seven months. Due to the family's financial situation, we were forced to return to work. I have a nurse from Tuesday to Friday, but I only need one for Mondays from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. She is a very cheerful and alert girl and is currently receiving therapy for her development. She has a G-tube and would only need to refill her milk, keep her lungs clean by suctioning, change her diaper, and make sure she doesn't vomit. If I could sit her in her chair from time to time and administer her routine medications if necessary. Because of her anxiety, she bites her hands a lot. We have a cover for them, and sometimes she takes them off. I'll keep an eye on her.
