About the job
My son is 19 years old. I am looking for someone to assist on days that our aide takes vacation/has a sick day and evenings when our aide is not available. Our aide has a cat and a dog who live in the basement and will not be present upstairs when she is not. Jack is severely intellectually incapacitated. He is verbal but not functionally verbal. Jack must be supervised at all times because of his difficulty with depth perception, his difficulty communicating with anyone unfamiliar with his speech patterns, and his seizure disorder. He requires an aide to assist him with feeding, preparing meals, and activities of daily living when I am not present. Jack is also sensory sensitive to noises, fabric, and movement.
