About the job
My dad suffered a traumatic brain injury from a motorcycle accident. He requires months of intense physical, speech, and occupational outpatient therapies. His memory is severely impaired so he can't drive or attend appointment alone at this time. He walks on his own with a walker, but his gait is unsteady. This is expected to start getting better over time. Our priority is transportation to and from his many medical appointments. He has 1-3 appointments per day, and each is about an hour long. Drive time is about an hour each way also (that includes traffic and getting inside to the appointment). Pay is $20/hour plus $. 67 per mile (mileage reimbursement). Most of his appointments are downtown Syracuse (about 15-20 miles each way but up to 45-50 minute drive with traffic). You will be paid on his business payroll as an employee.
