Hello! My name is Davina and I offer babysitting services in my home. I have always had a deep love for children. I love to give children a fun and memorable time while helping them grow and learn at the same time. Your children will be in a smoke free, animal dander free, Christian environment. I can provide meals for the children and am willing to occasionally do some of the children's laundry. At the age of 9 or 10 I would spend my weekends helping my aunt babysit my little 2 year-old cousin. In my teens, I helped with the youth in my church and by 17, I was teaching piano to children. I taught for about 4 years before the Lord led me to marry my dear husband. He was a widow with two children. Now I am a stay-at-home mom, and in addition to my household duties I homeschool my two stepchildren. My stepdaughter who is almost 14 will be in the role of a mother's assistant as I babysit. Reliable, Loving and Caring Childcare! Being a stay-at-home mother, and now a grandmother, has been my life for nearly the last 28 years. It is what I love to do, and those that know me will surely agree. For years, I did child care in my home, but as my kids grew, I began to dedicate my time to tutoring and volunteering within the school district. A good portion of that time was also spent coordinating and implementing programs for a group of special- needs children. I took a brief break from childcare to write a book, which was published in 2012. It was chosen as book of the month in many local libraries and I was featured on the &quot;Charlotte Today Show&quot;. However, now that my last &quot;baby&quot; has graduated from high school, and I have reached the ripe young age of 50, I am going back to what I truly enjoy doing... caring for children. I look forward to giving your children the love, attention, and consistency that they need while you are away at work. I know what a difficult decision it is when choosing someone to care for your kids, but I can assure you that together we can help them grow, learn, and prosper. You will find that I am honest, loving and I simply want the best for ALL children. Mostly though... I am patient. The fact is, raising children requires many qualities, but patience and consistency are a must! It has been my personal experience that the kids I watch are not a &quot;job,&quot; but rather an extension of my family. We go places together, do crafts, cook, garden, play, and for those who wish to do so, we have &quot;school,&quot; where we learn whatever is age appropriate.
