My name is Lauren , I'm from Ireland.
I am currently living in Troyes, teaching English online and as a private tutor to students. I've a clear, neutral accent which is easily understood. I'm TEFL certified, through this course I learnt all the necessary information required to teach English professionally. The information I obtained during my TEFL course, my passion for languages and my creative mindset are the building blocks to every great language teacher, which is why I am confident in my own teaching abilities.
My teaching style is interactive and creative. My lesson plans are built to suit my students varied interests and reasons for learning the English language. I like to use the teaching methodology, PPP – Presentation, Practice and Production. Though this depends on the objective of the lesson and the student's level. Sometimes alternative teaching methods are more appropriate, such as TTT ( Test, Teach, Test ) or TBL ( Task Based Learning ) The method PPP is both a straightforward and effective teaching methodology, especially for beginners which enables me to build the student's understanding of the English language and introduce new aspects of the language in fun dynamic ways which suit all learning types.
