Hi there! I'm Catherine and I'm travelling from Quebec to the beautiful city of Vancouver, which mean you will notice pretty quickly my french accent ;) Back home, I used to work a loooooot with kids because I actually love it! Aside working as a child counsellor in a First Nation elementary school for 2 years and in summer camps for more than 7 years, I have also teach and train kids. I have a degree in Psychoeducation, which is basically a mix of special education and social work in Quebec. In other words, I am a counsellor working especially with kids with special needs. My degree was full of class about child development, about managing behaviours and about helping kids to improve their abilities and skills. So, I would not hide that I just love working with kids. I think kids can always surprise you in a good way by their crazy imagination and simplicity. To me, every child has beauty to show; you just need to open your eyes and help them to find their own beauty! That's pretty much what I am trying to do every day that I am working with them. So as I am travelling and missing working with kids, I think babysitting is a good way to find back my child heart!
