About

This incredible arm extending technology allowed humans to propel a sturdy long flexible dart with much more force, power, distance and accuracy than by hand alone. Join us for a weekend of prehistoric hunting skills as well create both a dart and a thrower using only what we harvest from a wild landscape.
Students will learn all about:
• Selecting & harvesting materials
• Shaping & constructing your thrower
• Straightening your darts with fire
• Fletching with feathers & sinew
• Adding a fore shaft & spear points
In addition to the above, students will also be shown how to throw their new atlatl and darts for both distance and accuracy by experienced throwers and hunters. Join us for a blast into our past as we discover what life was life for hunters long before the creation of the bow & arrow.
