Winter Semester (January-Mid December)

This class is for students who want to try different mediums, are new in the world of art, or who want to build on basic art techniques. All supplies provided as students explore techniques, learn basics of color theory, and try different mediums used to draw and paint.

Students are introduced to the elements and principles of art to create full, functional, and stylish compositions. This class will explore the different mediums used in drawing such as charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, and pastel along with painting in oil, acrylic, gouache and watercolor.

This is a beginning class that allows students to test a variety of materials in order to find which medium to continue learning about and then join one of our more in depth classes on that medium.
