The MOCHA Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program gives 6th-8th graders the opportunity to develop their art, customer service, and work experience skills in a supportive, creative museum environment.
The CIT program is a 1 week program consisting of camp training, work development skills, and art for the summer.
CIT hours are M-F (Depending on Camp schedule) 9:00am-3:30pm. If CIT requires care after camp, they will transition to the aftercare program (3:30pm-5:30pm) at an additional fee of $25 per day.
Role & Responsibilities
CITs build leadership skills and train as MOCHA Art Camp Counselors. Each CIT will work with staff to prepare and support the Teaching Artist in the class and during all outside activities.
CITs support staff members in camper supervision, activity preparation, basic equipment maintenance, and other routine camp duties.

Be a caring and enthusiastic role model for youth/peers ages 5-14
Counselors in Training (CITs) are, first and foremost, role models for campers. CITs participate in most camper activities, adhere to all camp guidelines, and model the MOCHA Camp values respect, kindness, helpfulness, and teamwork.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Full payment is required when booking a CAMP. Cancellation of reservation must be within one (1) week of camp start date to receive full credit to your account for a future event. Cancellations less than one (1) week prior to start of camp will account credit minus a $50 late cancellation fee.
Unless specified as a one (1) day camp, a “camp” is based on the number of days scheduled. These camps cannot be broken down into single day passes.
Requests for credit card refunds must be made 2 weeks prior to the scheduled event and will incur a 15% processing fee. Only account credit options are available if cancellation is made less than 1 week.

MOCHA camp takes place at 1221 Broadway, LL-l Suite 49 94612.
We are on the lower level of Oakland City Center, just steps from the 12th Street Bart Station (exit 13th street).

PARKING: Parking in our area is mostly metered street parking and paid garages. The Ace garage/Oakland City Center Parking is located right next to the entrance of MOCHA, and is free for the first 10 mins.
