I am by nature an artist and a teacher, embracing the practice of being a learner. Art has always been part of my life in some way or another, and I love communicating that creativity with a canvas or a classroom. I have enjoyed and produced art for 30+ years, teaching for over 20. While I dabble in many art forms, I purposefully hone my skills in a few. I love exploring new mediums - right now I am LOVING palette knife with oils. Whatever medium I am teaching makes me itchy to create with it! The thing is, I love to impart the JOY and FUN of art, as well as the rich history and interesting facts surrounding the amazing artists that have touched our lives and shaped our society. I believe we are all amazing individuals and our artistic expressions should reflect that truth. There is no "right way" to do art, but there are many helpful techniques that make those expressions more fluid and enjoyable.
