Arriving in New York City in 1983 on a one-way ticket from San Francisco, with two hundred dollars and a trunk busting at the seams with pure desire to pursue the bright lights of Broadway as a Director. In charting her own path she birthed “The Joke’s On You!”, a practical joke company for hire. Casting her unemployed actor friends in customized joke scenarios she wrote and directed. Four years of success in curating mischievous pranks for the NY Elite and celebrity clients brought about a natural transition into casting. Tracey’s roaster of talented readily available actors made it a resource for directors such as Lionel Martin and Hype Williams for chart topping artist of the 90’s music scene. Tracey Moore Casting emerged as a foundational bridge between talent and production for Music Videos. A cornerstone of her continued success as a renowned Casting Director for over 30 years in television, film and commercials. In 1994, while casting the feature film New Jersey Drive and New York Undercover; auditioning all of the days hottest rappers, Tracey saw that these lyrical creatives required guidance in their transition from music to screen. Storytellers in their own right required translation and guidance. Her unique experience of being of both worlds, made her the perfect fit as Celebrity Acting Coach navigating them from music videos and radio into television and film. For music executives and management, she became a liaison of necessity connecting their client rooster with studios, production, and agents. Her clients have included; P¡nk, Cardi B, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot, Eve, Nelly, Q-Tip, Faith Evans, LaLa Anthony, Olivia, Chico DeBarge, Musiq Soulchild, Common, Ludacris, Mona Scott Young, Q- Tip, Darius Rucker (Hootie and the Blowfish),!Lil’ Wayne, Salt N Pepa, Kenny Latimore; BET's 106th and Park Host Free, Terrence and Rocsi, Fonsworth Bentley of BET’s Lift Every Voice, Tiny, Estelle, Kem; Universal records, Def-Jam, Kedar Entertainment, Roc-a-fella and Violator records and management.
