Do you know what aircraft carrier shot down the most planes in US Naval history or how many people have really escaped from Alcatraz? Learn about the Gold Rush and WW2, climb aboard the Eureka and the Bal Clutha and investigate a giant aircraft carrier. How many miles of cable there are on the Golden Gate Bridge? How was the Apollo 11 space capsule recovered? Find out the answers to these questions as you make history during this fun filled week of discovery.

Have you ever built a ten-foot tower out of blocks or had your hair stand on end? This summer you can fly around the world using a life size version of Google Earth, blow bubbles the size of a small car and climb around in a DNA double helix. Spend the week exploring science museums and even a submarine. Learn how roller coasters work and what it takes to become an astronaut. Learning is cool and electrifying in the Physics and Technology camp at UAC.

Children are given free range to explore the set-ups, with their adults within a hug’s reach. Let your child take the lead and run out some wiggles! Special Open Gym times will sometimes have extra activities like a no-mess art activity, a story-time or a surprise visit from Gymbo!

We boogie down with our babies, get up and dance, give them baby massages, sing them songs, and explore new physical challenges every week through teacher-led activities on the equipment. Explore tummy time from a new perspective or on a new texture, slide down slides on soft lambskins, or take a ride in a gentle swing! Play as a group and socialize with others! Sing songs, learn a routine, and PLAY!

Try your hand, and mind, at a ropes course and then set sail aboard a boat bound for fun and adventure. Kayak the bay while looking for sea lions, mountain bike, and paddle board on the Bay. In Active camp at UAC you will challenge yourself mentally and physically while having the time of your life.

It’s all about opposites: loud and quiet, fast and slow, up and down! Contrasting ‘themes’ help your child learn better ways to communicate. We move across the bridge sllowwwly and then fast! They'll learn how to control body movements and use their body to navigate and problem solve across monkey bars, giant cushions, and through little tunnels. In this camp you will learn all about the natural world around us. There will be plenty of opportunities to see giant giraffes, touch slimy sea cucumbers, and witness birds soar over your head as you venture into the rain forest. Nature abounds when you join us for Biology/Natural Science camp at UAC.
