What your child’s day will look like
Join my studio between May 8 and June 12 for a six week introduction to the violin! This class is open to students ages 4-11 who are accompanied by their parent. This class is a great way for your child to try out violin in a low-stakes, fun, social environment! You'll get to learn a few basics on violin, learn a few songs, become acquainted with the Suzuki method, and make friends. Each week, students will receive a practice chart with unique practice "challenges" to keep their interest throughout the week! We will celebrate with a "mini recital" in the last class, which friends and family members are encouraged to attend!
Additional instructions
My studio does not provide instruments, but my studio works with William Harris Lee, a violin shop in Chicago with an excellent rental program. This rental program is separate from my studio, but if you need a high-quality instrument to rent, I am able to have a rental violin ready for you in the first class! You'll need to measure your child's arm, from neck to the palm of their hand, and indicate to me which size you need to rent. I will provide further information on how to rent a violin with William Harris Lee. 14"-15 3/8" 1/16 size 15.5"- 17" 1/10 size 17"- 17.5" 1/8 size 17.5"-20" 1/4 size 20"-22" 1/2 size 22"- 23.5". 3/4 size 23.5" and up 4/4 size (full size) You are also welcome to pursue finding an instrument on your own. Feel free to reach out to me at any time if you need help finding an appropriately sized violin! I have names of other violin shops with rental programs listed on my website.
