Upcycling Creations and Engineering Design Challenge using LEGO® Rising 3rd through 6th Graders

We will reuse, reduce and repurpose in this camp daily, not only to not only teach sustainablilty but also to promote creativity! In this 4 day camp we will have a different upcycling challenge everyday. From a trash bag fashion show, and a town made of cardboard, to a gallery of art pieces using garbage, we will encourage our campers to be eco conscious and waste less! Campers will also spend time daily doing the Engineering Design Challenge using LEGO® Materials: Ready to put your skills to the test? Join our instructors as they guide you through the fundamentals of mechanisms that will inspire your creativity; then, it’s your turn to innovate! Working with unique design parameters, you'll construct structures and vehicles, push them to their limits, and see what they can withstand. Compete head-to-head and put real-world concepts into action with exciting LEGO® challenges! Reminder: this is a 4 day camp session. All of the camps come together for lunch, recess breaks and special events. **This camp is for the grades listed in the title only** ***REGISTER BY APRIL 21st to RECEIVE A FREE SUMMER AT SEA CREST T-SHIRT*** Please look out for an email (sent to the email you register with) a week or two prior to camp with more details, including any special days happening that week. Our aftercare at camp runs from 3:00pm-4:00pm the charge is an additional $10 a day, if your child is not picked up by 3:05pm they will automatically be checked into aftercare and we will charge the card on file. Aftercare after a long camp day is definitely a time for decompression and may include board games and/or educational films. We also combine all campers at this time including our JK/K tide pool camp. All camps will run contingent upon a certain number of campers signing up. If your camp is cancelled, you will be notified at least 30 days prior. Cancellation Policy: Registrations canceled at least 30 days prior to the start of camp will receive a full refund. Registrations canceled 14-29 days prior to camp will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations within 14 days of the start of camp will not be refunded, but you may find someone to fill your campers spot and receive a refund if they attend the camp.
