I have had experience working for Beanstalk within a primary school setting. It is a charity which helps children who have difficulties in a normal classroom setting with learning to read. I have worked one-to- one for 30 minute sessions with a variety of school children. It gave me a sense of pride when the child improved, was moved on and another child took their place. Part of the session was spent playing games which built up the child's confidence and allowed them to have one-to-one quality time away from the rest of the class. It was a Voluntary Position.
