I'm dynamic and inspiring tutor offering 1-to-1 support for 11+, GCSE and A-Level English. I have a passion for English literature, and I love to share my enthusiasm for the subject with my students. I have a strong academic background, with extensive experience of tutoring at both university and school level. I specialize in bringing the academic study of English to life for school pupils by combining a dynamic and accessible approach with the exciting ideas and research I have experienced at university. I am also keenly aware of the requirements of the various exam boards, and I tailor my approach to developing skills to excel in particular exams and beyond. I particularly enjoy preparing students for exams such as the 11+, GCSE and A-level, as well as university entrance, and I am equally at home providing challenging debate to stretch the most gifted and talented pupils, or inspiring enthusiasm in students who want to improve their grades. One of the best things about private tuition is seeing my pupils develop their confidence, whether in violin performance or tackling the big ideas in works of literature. I am available for short-term help with revision, holiday booster classes or regular weekly lessons.
