CHILDCARE Voluntary experience working with children aged 7-10 (Brownies). Responsibilities include: building warm relationships with young children, organising games and activities, helping the children with tasks, guiding and advising them, being seen as a friendly, approachable figure by both the children and my peers and cleaning up after them. Also a lot of experience babysitting within my family and friends (aged 5-13) and wish to broaden my experience working with other families. Soon to be first-aid trained. PET-CARE Little experience pet-sitting but have enjoyed looking after pets and within my friends and family (cats and dogs). I am a keen, reliable animal lover with a difficult and demanding Siberian Husky of my own and hope to gain more experience pet-sitting. ELDERLY CARE Personal experience due to having a grandfather with multiple sclerosis and a grandmother with dementia. Also aim to join an NHS volunteer scheme called Dementia Buddies within the new year which involves a background check, training and learning First-Aid.
