After spending the last year working and assisting in a veterinary clinic, I’m considering options for further education within the veterinary industry and employment. Whilst at the clinic, I gained hands on experience monitoring patients after surgeries, feeding and also assisted in on consultations and in theatre. Additionally, i’m looking to further develop my experience working with animals and have a strong interest in animal care, health and welfare. I have volunteering experience at an animal sanctuary in Sri Lanka and whilst there, helped to socialise puppies and took part in hydrotherapy sessions for dogs with mobility issues/paralysis. Following this, I also have experience with agricultural animals on a traditional hillside farm, independently delivering lambs and calfs and caring for them immediately after birth along with daily food/water and bed changes. Over the last few years I’ve also Pet sat/Dog walked for various individuals, providing walks, diets, medication and trusted key holder for pets and owners.
