In my role as a care assistant/support worker I care for young/elderly people I have developed essential skills such as personal care, washing clothes, administrating medication and signing mars sheets. Preparing meals, snacks, assisting with eating/drinking where applicable if required. Offering companionship/ social visit. Reporting all clients needs/concerns to the team leader, my five years of dedicated care support for my aged mother have instilled in me a deep understanding of the importance of personalised support and a patient-centered approach. While assisting my aged mother, I provided personal care for her in the morning before leaving for work and in the evening, prepared breakfast and dinner for her based on my availability, ensured she used her medication daily and timely, communicated with her Doctor/Nurse when I noticed any changes in her behaviour or health. I also took walks with her when she wanted, and encouraged her to take walks when I feel she needed one and ensured that she agrees to take a walk. I am eager to leverage my unique healthcare experience to contribute effectively to patient care with your organization.
