I am Agnes.. I have been a HCA since 2009. I studied AB Social Work for 2 and a half years from 2014 to 2017 and one year in Nursing. I worked in the local authority in line with Children in Need, adults with Autism, older people with Dementia and Alzheimer's and children with complex medical care needs such as tracheostomy, PEG feeding and cerebral palsy. My previous work was with a child who has complex needs, cerebral palsy, epilepsy and non-verbal in a private setting. I like reading books, learning new skills, flower arranging and dogs. I also like music, arts, travel and current events. I have learned communication skills, specifically the non-verbal, para verbal, active listening and observation, especially when my clients are nonverbal. This skills are very important in safeguarding issues with my clients. I also learned the importance of data protection, confidentiality and professional work ethics as fundamentals in Social Care arena. I have to be friendly, however, remain to be professional so that safeguarding issues will not be jeopardised. I am a very people orientated person
