I am a third year student nurse studying paediatrics at the University of Plymouth. I love looking after children of all ages and learning about their interests and personalities. I have helped look after friends children in the past and enjoyed being able to help them with homework, cook dinner with them and make movie dens and new games up with them. I also love helping younger children with messy play and reading bedtime stories. Since starting my degree I have helped in children’s residential homes as part of placements and you can often find me babysitting or playing with children on the ward to give parents a much needed break for half and hour. I also have 2 years of experience teaching children ages 4-16 kick-boxing, helping to develop their fitness, confidence and motor development and coordination. First aid trained for sports and paediatrics, along with paediatric basic life support. Through university placements I have had experience with SEN children as well as those with complex or life limiting conditions. I am confident and competent providing personal care for all ages of children. Looking for some extra part time work in the evenings and weekends (can do extra when not on university placements).
