I am currently looking to provide ad hoc care, or one evening a week, alongside my full time position as a healthcare assistant within a special needs school in Plymouth. I currently work as a healthcare assistant within a special needs school with children that have complex medical needs, however, I have had many varied opportunities, caring for children, over the last 7 years, that have helped me increase my knowledge and skills. I have worked as a 1:1 SEN support worker, nursery key person, babysitter, summer camp assistant, after-school club assistant, teaching assistant and more. I have a distinction in my level 3 early years educator qualification, a full drivers licence, a full paediatric first aid certificate and a full first aid at work certificate (plus more medical certifications/awareness). I am considered empathetic, bubbly and caring; therefore, I find huge fulfilment supporting children in their educational and social development. Also, I am highly creative and imaginative, so I love ‘mucking-in’ and being able to play alongside any children in my care. I am also a responsible and highly organised individual, which has always helped me within my childcare roles.
