My name is Emma and I'm 24 years old living in Netherton and working in Crosby, Liverpool. I am able to travel as I have my own car. I'm a totally flexible around school holidays and pick up and drop offs during term time. I've worked as childminder for various families with children of differing ages and abilities. I'm also a teaching assistant with experience in both special needs and mainstream education. I have also worked in primary and secondary schools. I currently work in a special needs high school in Crosby. From 8:40-3:30 during term time. I'm currently working for two separate families. The first family I simply offer a school pick up 3/4 times a week for their 2 sons. The second family I look after their young son with autism 2/3hours on either a Saturday or Sunday once/twice a month. So I'm currently available outside of these hours and all school holidays. I have a wealth of experience in special needs education; especially autism. I have undertaken various courses and training during my time working in education including: Safe guarding. English as an additional language. Comic strip conversations (autism supporting strategy). Social stories (also autism supporting strategy). Accelerated reader (for children with weaker literacy abilities). Basic first aid. Behaviour management training. And various SEN department training.
