I have an extensive background in professionally caring for children of varying ages and abilities. From 2012-2015, I worked as a Teaching Assistant at several schools in the United States and provided Respite Care for carers and parents. From 2016-2017, I worked as a Behavioral Therapist for children on the Autism Spectrum. I also worked as a Supervisor and completed administration work within the company I worked for. I moved to the UK with my husband two years ago. My current work position is a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant across the Durham and Newcastle area, in a variety of mainstream and SEN schools. I’m interested in working as a nanny to take my existing skills and knowledge of excellent child care and apply them in caring directly for families. Time management, interpersonal attitude, effective and personable communication, positive behaviour management, food handling, and extensive experience in diaper changing and toileting are some notable skills I possess and apply at the highest of standards. My personality is very nurturing and warm. I strive to balance my approach of the caregiver/child relationship with a fun/nurturing attitude while maintaining a respectful/authoritative environment.
