| I am a university science student and am comfortable tutoring in science and mathematics. I have tutored other students at university in the subject of beginner Spanish as well.

| I am a fourth-year Education student at TWU with teachable subject specializations in English and Biology. I have experience tutoring elementary school children in Math and English and university students in Writing and Grammar. I have also taught a range of subjects (Math, Science, Social Studies, English, Anatomy & Physiology) in Grades 6-12 through my teaching practica at university. I am energetic, warm, and personable, and I love to create environments in which young people feel comfortable and can approach their learning creatively and critically.

| My mom worked as a tutor for students with learning disabilities and so I was around a lot of the material growing up. When I was in my last years of high school, I worked with a couple different students in lower grades of math and really enjoyed it. Math has always been my strong suit, or at least it was until I started getting into some complicated statistics and calculus in university.

| I know how challenging and rewarding communicating in a new language can. My experience of learning Spanish as an adult while living in Mexico for eight years makes me an understanding, enthusiastic tutor. I taught ESL classes, and tutored corporate executives part-time while in Mexico. Since returning to Vancouver in 2009 I have completed TESL certification and volunteered as an ESL instructor at several immigrant services agencies.
