Since I was eight years old, I have been helping take care of my uncle, who has autism and a speech delay, the older I got, the more I helped. I have a passion for helping people who struggle more than others, they and their minds are unique. In high school, I would always go to the Special Ed program, hang out with the kids there, and even walk around the school with them and help them with tasks that were hard for them. I still visit them 3-4 times a month at the high school when possible. In the summer, my friend and I volunteered at a day camp for children with special needs, and it taught me a lot more strategies on how to communicate better with them. I also have babysat children with special needs, I have a massive passion for helping people no matter the circumstance.
