The first year I worked in Stratford living in-house with the disabled individuals and the second year in Quebec City also working in-house for the same company L'Arche founded by Jean Vanier. We lived with them supporting them helping them with personal needs, personal care, employment, outings, activities and also moral support. The levels of disabilities range from Down syndrome fragile X and cerebral palsy. In 1999 I've moved to Peterborough where I work for Christian Horizons a group home with six disabled individuals with autism, cerebral palsy, PKU. I also have experience dealing with individuals who have a G-tube and how to care for them. In matters of administration experience my two portfolios are Human resources which I have done over 14 years preparing the schedule, making sure all shifts are filled, calling relief, covering staffs vacation request, and payroll. My second portfolio which I am presently working in is the medical portfolio which consists of ordering all medications making sure all of mar sheets are accurate protocols are done according to Doctors Orders and administering medication.
