My name is Mikayla and I am a third year business student at St. Francis Xavier University. I am 19 years old and have been babysitting since I was 12! At15, I started working as a 1-on-1 support leader for children with various exceptionalities through summer camps. This position has given me the opportunity to build friendships with many amazing individuals ranging from ages 4-22 and has allowed me to progress in something I am truly passionate about! As an Inclusion Leader, I take on the roles and responsibilities of an integration specialist. I aim to integrate my participants into our programs to the best of their abilities all while treating each individual with the utmost respect. This is a role I not only play in the workplace but in my everyday life. I am comfortable working with various forms of individual needs that may be required. This includes: changing, feeding, lifting, personal care, etc. Throughout the years I have been lucky enough to work with multiple children, each giving me the opportunity to fall into a different role tailored to their individual needs. I am a quick learner and am willing to take on any task in order to create the most adaptable and fun-filled environment for your child.
