Senior Care in Sorrento

| The experience I have with caretaking is minimal, about 5 months, but I've been a household manager for 6 years and a lot of the tasks are the same. The elderly care position i held was for that of a women with Alzheimer’s. My main expectation was to help her maintain her independence by joining her on her daily routine and keeping her on task. Im very patient and understand how to manage heightened emotions during points of mania and disoriantation to the point of fear. I do not approach alzheimers by trying to get the client to remember what's happening but just try to get the emotions to a level where everything is not so terrifying and overwhelming. My duties have included; running errands, laundry,transportation to and from activities, meal preparation and much more. I pride myself on being intuitive to peoples needs, hard working, creative and an ability to affectively communicate with people despite their circumstances. I have always had good relationships not only with my employers and their children and/ or seniors but the community that surrounds them as well. I have my own transportation, drivers license, clean driver's abstract, criminal record check and am open to obtaining anything else you may require.

| I've worked as a care aid, nursing assistant and community care worker for 25+ years. At this point in my career Im looking for more of a one on one possition where I can make a real difference in someone's life, where I can provide good food, loving care, safety and companionship. | Over the past 25 years I have had the privilege to give care to the elderly in comunity care, longterm care facilities, and private care settings. It has been and continues to be the greatest service other than motherhood in my life. I love this work and I love the Elders I've served over the years.

| I’ve done lots of work for seniors and have absolutely loved it ! I’ve done lots of grocery shopping, errand running, pet care, home care, house cleaning & I am willing to help with whatever needs to get done!
