| Hi, my name is Debbie. I am a nurturer at heart. I have two children in middle school. I love animals, reading and art. I worked at a nursing home for 3 years as a Support Worker for Community Integrated Care, UK. Position involved: taking responsibility for the care and welfare of people with learning disabilities and behavioural problems; building a trust relationship with clients in order to become a source of constant support; liaising with family members to maintain an effective communication system between the family, the client and the care network; administering medication when required, and if needed, referring clients to doctors, dieticians and other health specialists; responsible for constructing and implementing individual plans of care; documenting actions and behaviours daily; ensuring medication charts are filled out accurately; performing domestic duties, and meal preparation. Training: National Vocational Qualification in Care (3 year on-the-job training certification – NVQ Level 3).
