Senior Care in Lake Country

| Hi there, I’m the proud Mum of two adult kids. No Grandkids yet.. Been married for 32 years - to the same man even, lol! Love to joke and laugh and was voted “Most Unique Individual” in Grade 12! I love sitting around with older people and hearing their stories. it’s fascinating what people have done! on to the important thing though... One of the things I love most about this job, is making people feel safe and comfortable and most importantly, making them smile. I believe in helping a person maintain their dignity and capabilities for as long as possible and always remember that I have been invited into their home for that reason. I’m a quick learner and love to get to know people and develop a rapport. My Mum, who passed away last year, had Alzheimer’s and I have a very soft spot and great patience for dementia sufferers. I have excellent references, I’m a hard worker and would love to meet to discuss whether we might be a good match.

| I really haven’t had much schooling in this kind of care, some good and heartfelt experiences but no actual schooling time. Sorry! We had some but most was based on children with special needs etc. Why I think I could be helpful or an asset is really just because I know I can do it and help or at least for some. I love listening learning communicating with others and I love helping. I love putting smiles on faces and making their day brighter.

| I have multiple years experience working with elderly. I worked 2 years as a care aide/nurse in a personal care home and 3 years in hospital.

| Before moving to Canada I was a health care support worker, working with all different clients with a different types of needs including Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Stroke rehabilitation. I worked in a hospital setting and in the community setting. I am a kind, caring and professional person. I really would like to get back into the caring sector to help people out who needs care!
