| Hello, my name is Emily! I’ve always been passionate about giving care to the elderly/disabled community. I think it’s an honor to take care of those who have always cared for us, I enjoy going above and beyond and making sure that they feel safe, cared for, and happy. I started volunteering at long term care facility when I was in about grade 8, I quickly realized I loved this work, I played cards, drank tea and just sat and visited, kept company, and assisted with any other helpful things I could at the time (grabbing snacks, warm blankets, taking residents for a walk down the hall etc.) In 2018 I began working in a independent long term facility, while I was there I did everything from serving food, hydration runs (make sure they are receiving enough fluids throughout the day) lots of cleaning, incident reports and paperwork, cooking, dishwashing, laundry, and spending lots of quality time and building great relationships with my residents. While I was at this facility all of my food safety, cpr and first aid training was all updated. I look forward to hearing from you and being able to help assist in care for your loved ones.
