| I have been a dog owner for almost 7 years and have been a dog sitting for almost 5 years. I started dog sitting for the love of dogs and continue to do so. I have experience with dog sitting dogs of all ages, sizes and circumstances such as rescue dogs. It will be a pleasure to meet your furry friends and help them out when I can. Pet sitting is more of a hobby and self care than a job for me. I am someone who enjoys spending my free time with animals. My experience is not limited to just dogs but also cats and rats. | After growing up training and caring for my family's rescue dogs, I started professionally petsitting after leaving for university. I've had several long-term clients who will provide a reference to my skills, professionalism and enthusiasm for their pets. I spent this fall working at a dog kennel where I've learned how to work with reactive dogs. I have experience providing services including in-home care, boarding, daycare, dog walks (including better walk behaviour training), grooming and training. I've looked after senior dogs/cats, deaf/blind pets, administered oral medication to cats & dogs, small to XL dogs and reactive/territorial pets. Essentially if you have it, I've cared for it! I love animals of all kinds and when they're in my care, I treat them as my pet and make sure they feel comfortable with me. | My name is Maya, an animal enthusiast and caretaker. I have loved animals for as long as I can remember and have taken care of various animals all my life. I have rescued two animals, including my mixed red fox lab, Jeter, and my old handicapped chicken, Luana. I am punctual with feeding, walking, and the general care of the two dogs I have now. Previously, I volunteered at the Parrot Partner Bird Sanctuary in Carleton Place, where many exotic birds are housed until they are rescued. I was asked to complete such tasks as maintaining the cleanliness of the sanctuary, feeding the birds, training, walking the birds outdoors, and handling them once permitted outside of their cages. I have also looked after the animals of my friends in the past, the most recently being another parrot, Chili, whom I looked after in my own home for a little over a week. I have also had a guinea pig, Tigger, and have looked after the smaller animals of my friends.
