Experienced Dog Trainer & Professional Wildlife Biologist
|
I’m a current PhD student at the University of Manitoba studying Arctic and red foxes, and a certified associate wildlife biologist. Prior to my career in wildlife biology, my first job was at a dog training facility where I taught basic obedience courses, assisted with the three week in-facility basic obedience camp, and instructed owners on how to maintain training after the camp. I worked for Doggie Do Good for over 2 years, where I assisted with service dog puppy raising and training, as well as handling a wide variety of breeds and ages. Our facility hosted day care and boarding, and I am experienced at giving medication to dogs that need it. I work from home during the school year and would love to offer walking services. I’ve been passionate about animals my whole life, and this passion has transitioned from caring for animals in my youth, dog training as a young adult, and now developed into a lifelong career of wildlife conservation. Although I have most recently specialized in fox species, I am passionate about all types of animals (wild and domestic!).
