I have worked in childcare since 2010, and I have had a home daycare since April 2016. In the past 5 years, I have tutored children from 5 to 10, for language, math, science, and social studies. Most of my tutoring experience is in homework help for kids in mainstream school. I also have homeschooled my son from first grade and up (currently working on grades 5, 6, and 7). I have education and experience in conflict de-escalation, emotional regulation, and trauma-informed care. I am currently developing emotional learning programs for young children, teens, and parents. I believe strongly in taking the learner's lead to discover the best teaching style, what to concentrate on, and how to meet learning goals together.
