I currently volunteer tutor children of low income housing. For this household, I am an on call tutor in the mornings if they need. For example, if they are completing assignments and have become stuck, they will call and I will walk them through to ensure that they understand what is going on. I also provide worksheets that are not in their class of the topic they are learning because I believe that practice makes perfect. Often, the child and I will work through these problems together. I currently tutor children from 9-16 years old, however I work for HRCE excel programs with children 4-11, so my abilities are versatile. I am entering my fourth year at Mount Saint Vincent University in Biology with a minor in Mathematics. I am working towards a bachelor of education degree to teach youth in high school sciences and math. I love to teach and work with youth who need a small push to achieve their biggest dreams.
