I have been a Montessori teacher since 2014, working with grades 1-8 to support their grasp of core curriculum. I specialized in social studies (especially Canadian Civics and Indigenous Studies) as well as Home Economics and Science, but have experience tutoring math and English as well. I use a student-led approach to learning and believe in building a solid foundation of knowledge prior to expanding the material into more abstract concepts. When possible, I encourage hands-on learning through the manipulation of materials, which allows a more successful grasp of base concepts. I am also comfortable with using technology.
