Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am an educator with a Masters in Education and 6 years of experience as a classroom teacher (including 1 year of fully remote instruction). I have worked with young people in some capacity for the last 14 years, and I am passionate about education. I have taught English, Social Studies, and Drama and have served on school leadership committees and led professional development for other teachers. I have taught a wide range of age groups, from older elementary school to university students, and I am comfortable adapting my lessons based on students' levels and needs. I take pride in my ability to connect with students and help them feel at ease, even when struggling with a subject. I have been trained in one-on-one writing instruction and have extensive experience with English language learners and students with special needs. During our first session, we'll discuss your goals and what you hope to gain from working together. In our sessions, I am happy to help with homework for another class, and/or to develop additional materials to practice skills that you wish to improve.
