I specialize in reading/writing/comprehension for individuals or small groups. I am experienced both in teaching texts and in facilitating peer activities. When I was growing up my mother ran a home day care, so I am comfortable supervising and working with students of all ages. I have a Masters in English and completed 3 years of a PhD at York before deciding it wasn't for me. I'll be attending George Brown in the fall to become a Abused Women's and Children's Advocate. I was a teaching assistant at the University level for 4 years, teaching first and second year English courses as well as introductory professional writing. I pride myself on creating a comfortable environment to allow my students to feel comfortable approaching me honestly with their learning challenges.
