I currently work as a Peer Tutor at the Writing Centre at Thompson River University, working with students who require additional help writing their academic and creative writing papers. I am a Fourth-Year TRU student applying for my Master's of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I have two years of experience working for Big Brother Big Sisters with Elementary school children behind in their reading and writing. I often employ imagery work to help urge them along to where they need to be. I do private tutoring with high school students looking for extra help on essay writing and structure, or want to get ahead of the curve and prepare for Post Secondary education. Outside of the classroom, I have ten years of experience working with children and youth of all ages while coaching football, instructing canoe lessons, and teaching indoor and outdoor rock climbing.
