I do not have traditional experience as a tutor, but have younger siblings that I’ve helped through the years, as well as children I’ve babysat in the past. In high school, I did a co-op placement with a grade 5/6 class and aided with teaching lessons, explaining class work, and going over homework with the students. My experience working with these students has helped me develop skills that allow me to be more patient, drive me to be more creative, and overall accommodating to the child’s needs. I believe my positive attitude will help me keep children engaged in the subjects. I’m also a very creative person, which will allow me to think outside the box to help children understand the work. My goal I finish my degree, my goal is to apply to teachers college and my future career would be working as a teacher.
