I have taken a babysitting course which teaches a variety of different skills from simple things like keeping children happy and entertained to also teaching how to deal with emergency situations. The course teaches and certifies abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver) and CPR. I’ve also been CPR certified in gym class in high school. I’m looking to study medicine/care giving in post secondary. I also give constant care to my ill family members, which is great experience. I’ve babysat for many different families since the age of 14. I have experience working with people with a variety of disabilities, disorders and delays. I had a tutor all throughout high school so I understand my self what it's like, I think this will work as an asset to me when helping to communicate with my students.
