Hi, I'm Kate! I have an Honours Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, where I was a double major in International Relations and Anthropology with a minor in Classical Civilizations. Previously, I graduated from New Westminster Secondary School (NWSS) with a Dual Dogwood after completing French Immersion. While at NWSS, I spent a year abroad in Spain as a Rotary Exchange Student. Some of my past awards and achievements include a Killam Fellowship at the University of Virginia, awarded by Fulbright Canada; serving as one of the University of Toronto’s nominees for a Rhodes Scholarship; a McCall MacBain Loran National Finalist Award; three scholarships for academic excellence awarded at U of T; the Robson Travelling Scholarship in Classical Studies, which allowed me to pursue fully-funded archaeological work in Greece; and a number of scholarships and awards received while attending NWSS. I currently work full time in communications, writing resources and publications for a non-profit organization that works to advance reconciliation.
