I am a 19 year old post-secondary History student who is currently attending Carleton University. I am looking to tutor part-time. I am consistently an above-average student, and am happy to speak with you directly about my achievements and awards. My subjects of choice are History and English. Looking to work with a child who requires extra help with understanding historical concepts and events, research, formulating ideas, analyzing events and texts, writing and structuring essays, reports, etc., thesis development, grammar, spelling, or any other needs they may have. I explain academic concepts in silly, easy-to-understand ways, am experienced in communicating with children in non-traditional ways, and adapting my approach as needed to different learning styles. My goal as a tutor is to be a supportive adult to your child, while helping them build confidence in their abilities. I have experience working as a Summer Program Leader with the Town of Halton Hills. Will provide a resume, and/or references from that position, as well as from past teachers.
